Sun R'qmt: 6+ hours a day Fragrance: Yes
Hybridizer Strawn Year 1997 Root Type Odorata

Nymphaea Joey Tomocik
$22.00
Leaf Spread: 4 - 5 feet Pond Size: Medium - Large
Sun R'qmt: 6+ hours a day Fragrance: Slight
Hybridizer Strawn Year 1993 Root Type Odorata
There is no other lily with the color of this one. In fact, I can pick it out in a pond of many flowers because it is truly lemon yellow. The bright flowers are held high above the water with green, slightly flecked pads.  This is an odorata rhizome so don't plan to repot it every year. Let it form a colony to encourage blooms.

Nymphaea Lemon Mist
$20.95
Leaf Spread: 4 - 5 feet Pond Size: Medium
Sun R'qmt: 6+ hours a day Fragrance: Yes
Hybridizer Strawn Year 1997 Root Type Odorata
Large double-yellow star-shaped flowers crowd around the patch of green leaves. This is an odorata-type rhizome so for best performance let it form a colony.

Nymphaea Moorei
$20.00
Leaf Spread: 3 - 4 feet Pond Size: Any
Sun R'qmt: 6+ hours a day Fragrance: Slight
Hybridizer Adelaide Botanic Gardens Year 1900 Root Type Pineapple
This is another of those plants that has been around for a long time because it is such a good bloomer. It has a beautiful yellow flower and is simple in its clarity and color. It is much like Marliacea Chromatella -- another good bloomer. This plant has an upright rhizome and will require a different planting approach (see the Learning Center). Perfect for any size pond.

Nymphaea odorata 'Sulphurea'
$20.50
Leaf Spread: 3-4 feet Pond Size: Medium - Large
Sun R'qmt: 6+ hours a day Fragrance: Yes
Hybridizer Marliac Year 1879 Root Type Odorata
Canary yellow bloom starts as cup and turns star-shaped as it ages. Heavily mottled leaves. Good bloomer. This is an odorata rhizome so let it colonize to get best performance.

Nymphaea Sunrise
$24.00
Leaf Spread: 4-5 feet Pond Size: Medium - Large
Sun R'qmt: 6+ hours a day Fragrance: Very Slight
Hybridizer Marliac Year 1888 Root Type Marliac/Odorata
Sunrise has one of the largest flowers in the world of hardy lilies. It was introduced by Marliac in 1888 so you know it is a good bloomer. You can expect 7 to 10 inch blooms if you plant this beauty in warmer regions. This is an odorata rhizome so let it colonize to get the most blooms.

Nymphaea Texas Dawn
$25.00
Leaf Spread: 3-5 feet Pond Size: Any
Sun R'qmt: 4+ hours a day Fragrance: Slight
Hybridizer Landon Year 1985 Root Type Marliac/Tuberosa
Rich yellow gives way to blushed pink petals. Blooms are held an incredible 10 inches above water! One of the few hardies that tolerates some shade. This 1985 introduction and Marliac's Chromatella from 1880 both challenge each other for the most blooms on a hardy lily. You be the judge. She also received the IWGS American award in 1990.

Nymphaea Yellow Queen
$25.00
Leaf Spread: 4-5 feet Pond Size: Medium - Large
Sun R'qmt: 6+ hours a day Fragrance: Yes
Hybridizer: Slocum Year 1991 Root Type Marliac
This star-shaped yellow stands above the water just like many tropical lilies. This is an unusual characteristic for hardy plants. The mottling on the leaves fades with age. You will have to be an early riser to get up before these blooms.

Nymphaea Yellow Sensation
$20.50   Email first - Very Limited Quantities
Leaf Spread: 3-5 feet Pond Size: Small - Medium - Large
Sun R'qmt: 6+ hours a day Fragrance: Slight
Hybridizer Slocum Year 1991 Root Type Pineapple
This beautiful lily will grow well in water 3 - 4 feet deep and still hold its flowers up to 10 inches above the water. This is one of the most popular contemporary yellow hardies and compares favorably to Marliac's Chromatella. This plant has the upright rhizome so remember it is planted a little differently.
